OUR MISSION
Chihuahua Champions is dedicated to providing you with a high-quality, lifelong companion that has been carefully raised and trained to thrive in any environment-free from common behavioral issues and stress. At Chihuahua Champions, we guarantee that each of our trained puppies will bring joy, security, and love to their new families, free from the stress of rehoming, shelters, or behavior challenges.
HOW WE TRAIN
Our positive reinforcement training program is specially designed to counter common chihuahua behaviors like nervousness, aggression and excessive barking through socialization, obedience training, and confidence-building exercises.
STORY
Chihuahua Champions was founded with the goal of giving chihuahuas the opportunity to reach their full potential as loving, friendly pets to be the friendliest, most adaptable dog one will ever have. With over 10 years of dog training experience, we work closely with breeders to find puppies that would benefit from our program. We believe that, with the right training, chihuahuas can break the mold and become friendly, calm, and adaptable family members
OUR VALUES
- Patience: We take the time to understand each dog's unique personality.
- Consistency: We use a balanced approach to training with daily, structured routines.
- Care: All of our dogs receive one-on-one attention, creating a safe space for growth and learning.
OUR APPROACH
- We partner with breeders to select chihuahuas at around 10 weeks old.
- Each dog undergoes a full year of training to develop friendliness, independence, and confidence.
- We customize training to each chihuahua's personality and progress, ensuring each dog is fully prepared for family life
TRAINING PROCESS
- Early Socialization: Introduce puppies to various people, sounds, and sights, crate training to reduce anxiety and build confidence.
- Behavior Shaping: Focus on obedience basics: such as sit, stay, come, leave it, wait and leash walking and work on friendly greetings to reduce barking or nervousness around new people.
- Confidence-Building: Practice calm-alone time to prevent separation anxiety and ensure comfort, refine behaviors and reinforce positive social interactions with kids, adults, and other pets.

BEHAVIOR COMPARISON
Fully Trained Chihuahua vs. Self-Trained Chihuahua
|
FACTORS |
CHIHUAHUA CHAMPIONS DOG |
SELF-TRAINED CHIHUAHUA |
COST OF OWNERSHIP |
$15,000 all-inclusive for a fully trained dog (covers a year of professional training, veterinary fees, and socialization) |
$10,000-$20,000+ with ongoing training, potential behaviorist, vet fees |
GUARANTEED BEHAVIORAL TRAITS |
Calm, friendly, and non-aggressive traits, carefully instilled and maintained through a year of ongoing training from a young age. |
No guarantees: inconsistent behaviors, anxiety, fear, or aggression issues often persist even after training. |
TIME TO TRAIN |
Fully trained at adoption-ready for family life immediately |
Requires months (or even years) of time-intensive training from the owner. Progress is not guaranteed with uncertain results |
ADAPTABILITY IN NEW ENVIRONMENTS AND WITH NEW PEOPLE/PETS |
Professionally socialized to be friendly and comfortable with people, children, and other animals. Calm and confident in a variety of environments, including homes, crates, and public spaces. |
Dependent on owner's ability to expose puppy to enough experiences, often leading to dogs that are fearful or aggressive in new situations.
Without structured training, dogs often struggle with change. |
RISK OF SEPARATION ANXIETY |
Trained for independence; comfortable being alone |
High risk without consistent, expert training |
COMFORT WITH VET VISITS |
Calm, confident, and muzzle-free; friendly with veterinary staff |
Often nervous or fearful; may need a muzzle for safety |

Cooperative for baths, ear/eye cleaning, teeth brushing, and medication; remains calm and non-fearful |
Often resistant to handling; prone to stress or fearful reactions |
EASE OF TRANSITION TO NEW HOME |

Without training, many dogs struggle to adapt, causing frustration and stress for new owners. |
WHY US?
When you choose a Chihuahua Champions dog, you're not just paying for a chihuahua-you're investing in a dog that comes with a fully developed, calm temperament, social skills, and the confidence to adapt to any home environment. While you can certainly buy a puppy and hire a trainer, here's why that approach is often less successful:
|
BEHAVIORAL CONSISTENCY |
Chihuahua Champions dogs are trained for stability, friendliness, and adaptability. We're so confident in our training process that our dogs come with a satisfaction guarantee, giving you the confidence that your investment will bring you a lifelong, loyal companion. |
REDUCED RISK OF REHOMING: COMMON ISSUES WITH DIY TRAINING |
When owners attempt training on their own, they often struggle to fully address behavioral issues, leading to frustration and even rehoming. Studies show that 40% of small dogs are rehomed due to behavioral challenges. Investing in a Chihuahua Champions dog drastically reduces this risk, as you're adopting a dog with a proven, reliable temperament. |
FREEDOM FROM SEPARATION ANXIETY |
Chihuahua Champions trained dogs are taught to feel secure alone, preventing common issues like destructive chewing or incessant barking. Separation anxiety is one of the most frequent and frustrating issues self-trained dogs develop. |
SOCIALIZATION SKILLS |
Unlike many chihuahuas that become fearful or aggressive with strangers, our dogs are exposed to a variety of environments, people, and animals from an early age, helping them grow into friendly, approachable pets. |
RISKS OF DIY TRAINING |
Training a dog yourself or hiring a general dog trainer often doesn't account for the quirks of the chihuahua breed. This can lead to inconsistent results, and many owners end up frustrated with stubborn behaviors that seem impossible to change without highly specialized knowledge. |
COST COMPARISON
Private Trainers vs. Our Fully Trained Dogs
|
PUPPY COST |
$2,000-$4,000 for a reputable breeder. |
TRAINING |
$5,000-$10,000 over the first year for weekly sessions, or much more if a specialized trainer is needed to address behavioral issues |
BEHAVIORAL SPECIALISTS |
If behavior issues arise, many owners end up spending additional money on behaviorists, which can range from $2,000-$5,000 depending on the complexity of the issues. |
TOTAL COST |
Up to $20,000+ in training, fees, and additional resources. And even then, there's no guarantee the dog will be as friendly, adaptable, and well-adjusted as a Chihuahua Champions dog. |
BY COMPARISON, ADOPTING A FULLY TRAINED CHIHUAHUA CHAMPIONS DOG FOR $15,000 IS NOT ONLY MORE COST-EFFECTIVE BUT PROVIDES THE CERTAINTY OF A FULLY TRAINED, SOCIALIZED, AND READY-TO-LOVE COMPANION.
